What is the Farmer's Daughter?

If it's made of maple syrup, we carry it. Our groceries department includes Vermont cheeses, crackers, Indian pudding, brown bread, buckwheat/buttermilk pancake mixes, clover honey - the finest Vermont offers and more.

The Farmer's Daughter Gift Barn is also a museum. You will enjoy your surroundings. Our barn is maintained as original. As you enter, look up and around you. The open post and beam barn was built without the use of nails. Many of the tools and equipment hanging from the walls were used in its construction. The sleigh on which our maple syrups is displayed is the "A.H. Gleason" sleigh, which was used here in St. Johnsbury to deliver groceries at the turn of the century.  The covered bridge hanging over it was actually built by a man who, as a youth, built covered bridge, and is a good example of their construction.
